An update on its progress …

After struggling with finding a passenger station design that I felt was large enough to adequately fill the available space, I decided to kitbash the solution using two copies of this Archistories ‘Torrnstein’ station.

Continuing to explore how to deal with some background images on the Central End, I've discovered some neat images using the Streetview feature of Google Earth ... this going beyond the higher level 3D views that I explored earlier.

Needing to get the backdrop on the yard side of The Central End module going, I decided to try to visualize what it might look like using an image captured from Google Earth.

Following the National Train Show, I took a break from working on modules to try out my hand at building up Fast Track turnouts.  From this I learned a lot about the critical aspects of improving turnout operation and returned to solving my concerns about the troublesome turnouts on the Central End module.

Finishing off the initial detail for the outer mainline track along the wall ... this will likely be the extent of such work on the Central End Module before the upcoming National Train Show in Portland, OR.

When not in use, the turnout controls for the freight yard need to be hidden from view.  To accomplish this, a hinged cover that will later be disguised with some form of scenery is installed.

Final working on scenery ... initially starting with the area on the outer mainline past the yard service area.  Still have plenty of detail work to do in this limited space.
