Working in the canyon

Finally I've started to work in the canyon.  Here you can see the beginnings of that effort starting with the addition of some rock surfaces.  These were produced using the Bragdon Enterprises rock casting materials and methods.  Joel's casting process certainly makes it much easier to create tons of rocks quickly and they don't weigh anywhere close to the tons that they strive to model.

In fact the casting resin and foam backing make a extremely light model, certainly a lot lighter than the hydrocal method, and they are a lot more flexible while being installed yet are more durable once completely cured.  For more on Joel's products and methods, please check out Bragdon Enterprises Cutting Edge Scenery Technologies.

For those tracking where this module, along with its companions modules from the CZM club stable, will be shown next, the next planned train show is the UNW/Equifriends Train Show over the weekend of April 29/30, 2006 in Monroe, Washington.
