And even more trees and a few rocks

Here we go ... now we are making some real progress on another side of the module.  This is a view into the cut with its retaining fences holding back lots of loose rock.

To get an idea on tree count, the number of trees on the hillside (viewed in this photo to right of the mainlines) currently total around 125.  All of these were custom made.  For the foliage on these trees, a number of different ground powders and course ground foam were used.  To make things look more interesting (and realistic as well), you need to mix up the colors a bit so that all the trees don't look the same.  Using the different materials and colors helps you to model a variety of trees.

Another view from the other side of the cut.  Its not easy to see in this picture but the deciduous tree seen on the left of the mainlines has a triple trunk and was the product of my son, daughter and I through its various stages of its "growth".

The fence was made from sticks of balsa wood cut and glued into fence sections with cross braces, added some rail brown paint, and installed vertically beside the tracks before being back-filled with rock.
