Even at train shows, work never stops

Here is a view of the CZM module setup at the recent train show in Monroe, Washington.  This particular set up wasn't our longest version since we had substituted a shorter 2 foot end module (far end of this view) for the 6.5 foot monster that usually fills that role.  Even though, this set up offers more than 2 scale miles of double mainline which gives a realistic impression of travel time since it takes a slow moving freight train 6 to 8 minutes to make a complete loop.

OK, so I can't stop working on the module, even at the shows!  Here, I'm captured in the act of planting stuff on the slope of the canyon.  Actually, this is a great way to get show attendees more involved in the hobby ... seeing work being done on the layout, often with them coming back over the course of the day to check the progress.

At this particular show, I let one of the young visitor's "plant" a tree in the canyon.  I found out as an aside from one of the youth chaperons, that they were visiting the show as part of a mentoring program and they were quite appreciative of the efforts by our group to interact with them and make them feel a part of the activity.
