This site shares images and notes for my Z-scale model railroading projects.
I'm Brad Saunders, residing in the Portland, Oregon area and I'm an active member of the Cascade-Z-Modelers (CZM) group focused on enjoying Z-scale model railroading. Prior to my getting into Z-scale in 2005, I modeled in N-scale for many years - the transition was primarily dictated by a relocation and need to reduce the footprint of my hobby to something more manageable. I soon learned that there were other great reasons to model in Z, most notably the ability to get an even larger empire in limited spaces :o)
For those interested in the ZTM-440™ module concept, please check the Notes section of this site.
Latest Forest End Module notes:
One of the major features of the Forest End Module will be its lumber mill and its time to start building it up.
Along the logging branch line, there exists a former warehouse that has long been abandoned - even the siding has been bypassed with some more recent mainline upgrades.
Latest P&W Railroad notes:
Still roughing in the land forms but some good progress made with the addition of the major bridge feature and some portals.
Latest Central End Module Notes:
After struggling with finding a passenger station design that I felt was large enough to adequately fill the available space, I decided to kitbash the solution using two copies of this Archistories ‘Torrnstein’ station.
