It didn’t take long for me to make more design adjustment when I was faced with some difficult landscaping issues.
So, as I started to work on how I was going to form the land in the area shown below, I quickly discovered that supporting the upper mainline bridge and forming the small canyon leading to the lower mainline tunnel was getting fairly awkward. This led to another design change.
Gone is the upper mainline bridge and the tunnel portal has been relocated as a result.
Before I got too carried away with this modification, I took some time to enlarge the access opening just out of view to the left of the lower mainline as this would be needed for access to the hidden track.
Now I added more foam to build a foundation for the upper mainline.
At some point, I’ll need to fill over the hole behind the upper mainline as I build up the landscape above it.
