The new lookout tower is a kit by Animek Models that took roughly a few hours to construct over a number of days.
I wouldn’t way that this kit was difficult to built but it certainly does take some patience and care. Lots of thin, delicate pieces involved, most specifically with regard to the stairs necessary to climb to the tower platform.
I used some of my Fast Tracks switch building tools as weighted braces during the assembly process … this really helped to hold things together while I was fitting the four sides of the tower. I did a pre-paint of the tower parts before assembly and then did a couple of touch-up passes once the base was built and prior to adding the stairs.
Not wanting to have an empty interior, I added a stove to match up with the provided chimney pipe, a couple of work counters (both with some details sitting on them) and two workers - in the view below, the second work counter was still yet to be added. Also note that the kit didn’t come with window “glass” so I took some left-over materials from another kit to fill in all of the main windows and including the door.
Some of the details added to the interior during construction.
