Very early on I indicated that our module group decided that we would support two different height standards for operating our layout. The photo to the right shows our first actual use of our lower alternate height of 35 inches.
Using a module standard to assure interoperability
The Cascade-Z-Modeler (CZM) group agreed that all modules would follows the Z-Bend Track module standard with the lone exception that each module should be able to be operated at two different setup heights, the first being the standard 50" top-of-rail height, the second being an alternate CZM-specific club standard of 35".
The Canyon Module in 3D
The 3D view is created using the polyline feature of Cadrail and although I didn't spend much time drawing them in, the feature does a reasonable job at presenting a general perspective of the overall design. I found this view useful in planning the module framework, most especially with regard to the canyon region.
