A functional module

Well, its been a month since I've provided an update ... as you can see, the track for the module is now installed and its even live!  I've even got two end modules, one functional and the other to be operational in a day or two.  I've done some limited testing with the one end module in place and can't wait to start "loop" testing once the second end is hooked up.

The overall length of the three modules connected together is nine feet.  This view shows the two bridges installed.  None of the support structures are in place as of yet as the bridges are being supported solely by the installed track.

The larger bridge has been painted with a shade of Union Pacific yellow and the tracks through the bridge section have already been painted with the ties brown and rails showing signs of rust.  The smaller bridge (closer in view) was painted a dull black and muddied up a bit but I'm not satisfied with the result so I expect to work on it quite a bit more.  Both of these bridges were kitbashed from Märklin bridges.  The larger bridge uses four of the Märklin arch bridges that were welded together and thus required the spacing between the tracks to be increase somewhat (which has been taken care of in the approaches to the bridge).  The smaller bridge uses four Märklin straight bridge ramps with one side of each ramp cut off to allow me to weld it all together into a single double bridge with track spacing much closer to the 1 inch spacing used at the module interface.
