Another show and some structural progress

Yes, its been quite some time since an update on this module.  These four photos were taken at the WGH on Tour Show in Portland, before which I did spend some time making some progress within the canyon and I even started to build up structures for the winery.

This particular view is of the canyon and some of the preparation for the river bed has been done.  I did acquire some of the Magic Water product to use for the river but didn't get a chance to try it prior to the show.  Actually, we did use it to make the lake on my daughter's module seen below connected to the Canyon Module.

In this view, the two partially built structures for the winery are sitting approximately where they will be located in the final scene.  These are from Mountaineer Precision Products kits.  The house is still lacking the second story gables  On both buildings, I've been experimenting with window glazing with reasonable results and I intend to add lighting that will be viewable from certain windows.  The winery building will have a detailed interior and lighting as well.

I'll post closeup pictures as those models get closer to completion.

At the upper end of the river, I've completed the addition of the bridge pier and two abutments - all of these made from products available from Z Train Things.  The river bed around the pier is starting to take shape and I expect that my initial attempt at adding the water will be in this area leading up to the first waterfall.

The CZM group is already scheduled for another show (LOTS National Convention Train Show in July 2007) and I've definitely got to get this canyon completed by then.  I also just acquired the fabric needed to make permanent skirts for the modules so this will be another task scheduled for completion by then as well.
