This photo shows the second end module in construction, only a small portion of the track is in place although the wiring is complete. I've been using the foam tack glue to attached the roadbed and track. You can see most of the tools I've using to do the track work ... yes, that is the famous Xuron track nippers and they work just great.
You may have noticed some tunnel portals in the photos, these are Loren Snyder specials (available @ http://www.zscalemonster.com/z_train_things/) ... the portals are shown in their approximate position. Actually, I'm planning on changing out the cement portals (the ones near the smaller bridge) for some larger ones that I've heard are coming but I'm sure I'll find a use for these stand-ins on another layout.
The canyon module along with a number of other club modules have an initial public showing coming up in mid-September so the pressure is on to get the module operational and the basic scenery in place. The operational part now essentially done, let the mountain building and plastering begin!
