Per the plan that we have laid out, a operating ZTM layout needs two end modules and here is the first one of those that is essentially complete. As the backside portion of the end module uses reduced radii, I've chosen to hide that little fact inside of a mountain :o)
A upper portion is a simple scene based on a lodge in the forest somewhere along with a few log cabins that guests can rent. The structures are RSLaser kits and were relatively easy to assemble.
Seems we have a couple of guests in this view just getting together to go out for a long hike ... these folks appear to be visitors that came over from Europe.
I've added some ballast material to partially disguise the Rokuhan plastic roadbed. The visible portion of the track are the larger 270 and 245 mm radii. The pathway to the cabins is also using a fine ballast as a stand in for wood chippings, its a passable effect.
Still a number of clean up items to really finish this off, finalizing the lodge roof painting for one, aging the portal a bit, and adding more color to the rock outcroppings.
I'll likely also add a sky backdrop to at least the back half on the mating side of the module and possible a second one along the back as well. Below is showing the end module with an unfinished standard ZTM-440 module attached.
