I created my version of the layout design using Cadrail 8.0. I used Cadrail to determine the stationing along the main line and used a Microsoft Excel speadsheet to develop the graduated grading system that will be used to implement the model. The drawing shown here resulted from exporting the layout as a bitmap to the clipboard, pasting the clipboard into a graphics program and saving it as an image file.
The grid represents 4" squares and assumes Märklin switches.
