Canyon walls essentially complete

The rock structures within the canyon are now fully colored and plantings are growing in the areas where seeds were able to take root.

This view provides a more overall perspective of the developing canyon.  Yes, I know that the bridge in the foreground is not properly supported with a pier but alas, many hours of operating trains along this route has proven that it is structurally sound for now :o).

The lower falls still need to be poured and after many failed attempts earlier in the year, I'm starting to build up the courage to try again.

Below is a view of the other canyon wall.  This surface is rather rough and I'm looking to eventually add some rock climbers to the scene.

Neither of the two buildings in the scene above will end up here on the layout ... the house shown is being replaced by a new house with a fancier front porch under construction and of course, the cattle barn really belongs on my daughter's module with the cows.  The winery structure is being worked as well to be fitted up with its winery features, starting with wine barrel racks and a couple of large stainless steel tanks.
